Active Transportation

Active Transportation

The Town's Active Transportation Committee has held two workshops to discuss making our community more walkable and bicycle friendly. The Workshop notes and a summary following the first workshop are available below.

In Part I of the workshops, Paul Young, an urban designer and facilitator, presented a talk on “Strategies to improve active transportation in NOTL.” Town staff also spoke about what is happening in Niagara-on-the-Lake to expand active transportation. Those in attendance then broke off into small groups to share ideas about possible improvements in Active Transportation within Niagara-on-the-Lake.

In Part 2, Facilitator Paul Young provided a summary of the ideas from Part I, and these notes will help shape the NOTL Active Transportation Committee’s priorities in making Niagara-on-the-Lake a safer, and more walkable community, which people-powered transportation provides.
