Participants will also develop basic lifesaving skills through participation in the Lifesaving Society’s Junior Lifeguard Club program. In the afternoon, participants will have the opportunity to shadow guard during the afternoon public swim. This program runs at the Niagara Pool from 9am-2pm. Participants will need to bring their own lunches, towels, sunscreen and water bottles. Note: J.A.W.S. is offered to participants ages 8-13, and participants will need to be able to tread water for 1 minute and swim 50m immediately after.
Session 1: July 3-7
Session 2: July 31- Aug. 4

Lifesaving Society Programs
The Town of NOTL offers a variety of Lifesaving Society programs for children throughout the summer. This summer, the Town will be offering 2 sessions of the LSS's Bronze Medallion and Bronze Cross programs. These courses will teach participants the fundamental lifesaving principals of water rescues and first aid, and are prerequisites for National Lifeguard and Instructor certificates. For more information on the specific programs, please visit: http://www.lifesavingsociety.com/swimming-lifesaving/lifesaving.aspx.
Session 2: July 24-28 (8:00am-2:00pm*) held at Memorial Pool
*times are subject to change

Electrifying Eels Swim Team:
The Electrifying Eels is a summer swim team for children (ages 5-16) looking for a fun, and competitive swim experience. Upon registration, swimmers will receive an Electrifying Eels Swim cap to be worn at meets. Please be aware there will be 4 league meets throughout the summer, and one regional swim meet. Participants must participate in 1 league meet in order to compete at the regional meet. Dates to be provided at the first swim practice. Meets will be held on Saturday Mornings, throughout the Niagara Region. Parent volunteers are required to help at meets. Please note: this is NOT a swimming lesson, or a program for competitive swimmers who compete throughout the year.
